Dr. Roy Langer is a native of the former East Germany. He holds a B.A. in British and German
Studies, Psychology and Pedagogy from Rostock University, a graduate degree in Communication
Studies from Roskilde University, and a Ph.D. from Copenhagen Business School. Dr. Langer has received research grants from the Danish Research
Council and the Danish Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs, as well
as awards from the German Ministry of Education and the Danish Association
of businessmen for both his research and teaching performance. He has taught
social philosophy, corporate communication, qualitative research methods,
discourse analysis, German politics and intercultural communication and management
at all Danish universities, at London Guildhall University and Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, Germany. His research interests include media
studies and public opinion building, corporate and organisational communication,
image and identity constructions on personal, organisational and national
level, and cultural theory.
